# Cookies & Browser Storage

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Version: 2026-09-08

This notice covers Polymorph's public marketing site, restricted website preview and our checkout/billing-management pages. It uses “browser storage” to include cookies, local storage and session storage. See also the [Privacy Policy](https://polymorph.pm/privacy-policy/).

## Public marketing pages

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or third-party behavioural analytics on the public marketing pages. They do not use local or session storage for tracking. Hosting still processes ordinary request and security information needed to serve the site; the absence of a cookie does not mean no network metadata is processed.

## Restricted preview access

The public website does not require a preview password. In a separately enabled password-restricted preview, successfully unlocking it creates the necessary first-party `getpolymorph_preview` access cookie. It allows subsequent preview requests without entering the shared preview password each time. It is not an advertising identifier. Signing out clears it; otherwise it expires after fourteen days.

## Checkout and billing management

Our checkout and management pages use necessary session storage in the current browser tab to keep short-lived authorisations working. It holds temporary approval/access information, not your payment-card details or an advertising profile. The authorisations expire and the browser state is cleared when the flow completes, expires or disconnects as applicable. Closing the tab ends its ordinary session-storage lifetime; server-side expiry is separate.

## External providers

Stripe-hosted checkout or management pages are separate from Polymorph's pages and can use their own cookies and storage for payments, security and other purposes. See [Stripe's Cookie Policy](https://stripe.com/legal/cookies-policy) and [Stripe's Privacy Policy](https://stripe.com/privacy). The public marketing pages do not embed Stripe's payment scripts just because a payment option is described.

## Choices and changes

There is no optional tracking-consent banner for the storage described here: public marketing does not use optional tracking, and restricted-access/payment authorisation storage serves the requested flow. Browser settings can block or remove storage, but blocking necessary storage may prevent that flow from working. If we introduce optional technologies requiring consent, we will explain them and obtain the required choice before activating them; scrolling or continued use will not stand in for that consent.
